Blog #5

I have not personally used video in the classroom, however, my mother has and she has found it to be a really good resource as a teaching tool. She has her third graders read a book (ex. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Summer of the Monkeys, etc.) and then gets permission to show those movies to her students and they take notes on what the differences are. I've never really made a movie before, my mom uses windows movie maker to make our family movie every year and I've helped her with that each year and know generally how to use it. I think that videos enhance learning through visual and audio stimulation combined in a way that can aid students in their learning.

Watching a movie in class was always a treat - but to watch something someone in your class has filmed personally - it is good.
